Since 2014, Tideland has had one base rate decrease and one increase. The time has come to implement a new base rate increase effective March 1, 2026. This issue of Tideland Topics focuses on the factors that necessitated a rate increase. Next month we will take a deep dive into the revamped residential time-of-use rate so you can decide if that rate may be beneficial to you and your family. That issue will also cover ways you can offset the base energy rate increase through efficiency and member portal tools.
