Updated information for members experiencing a financial hardship

During this uncertain season of life, Tideland EMC is here to work with you one-on-one as we navigate the coronavirus crisis. So please call us sooner rather than later if you anticipate a shortfall when your electric bill payment is due.

Co-op service representatives are here to work with individual members to tailor payment plans to meet your needs.

From March 23 – May 31, we are temporarily waiving late payment and service reconnection fees. Any member in financial distress and unable to resolve past due or negative account balances will be exempt from suspension of electric service through May 31 and allowed to establish a repayment plan not to exceed six months to resolve uncollected balances that may accrue during this time. Members will continue to receive electric bills and/or balance alert notifications during this time. Remember: Communication is key. 

Tideland EMC offices are currently closed to walk in traffic based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Fortunately, there are multiple ways to conduct business with the cooperative.
