Silver Lining & The Tideland Electric Care Trust
The Tideland Electric Care Trust needs your help to fill the growing gap
between prosperity and poverty in the six county area served by Tideland EMC. The Trust
helps those who fall between the cracks of traditional programs. Hard working families who
find themselves broadsided by crisis.
The Trust also funds eight $500 college scholarships for local high school seniors annually. With increased giving the Trust can touch more lives.
Contributing to the Trust is painless. Funds come from the simple practice of rounding up your electric bill to the next whole dollar amount. For example, if your electric bill is $94.58 and you choose to contribute to the Trust then the payment due becomes $95.00. The additional forty-two cents collected would go to the Trust. Average monthly contributions are fifty cents and can never exceed $12.00 in a given year. A non-salaried board of directors oversees the Trust to ensure wise distribution of funds.
