POSITION: Scheduler/Administrative Assistant
LOCATION: Pantego, NC
REPORTS TO: Manager of Engineering & Operations
EDUCATION: Two years of college, Technical School, or equivalent. Prefer background in Secretarial Science/Computer Technology or Business/Accounting. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software required.
EXPERIENCE: Up to two years of spreadsheet and data entry experience. Must be able to promote excellent public relations and to work effectively on a team.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of Mircosoft Office suite, and proficient in MS Excel. Must be knowledgeable in data entry and spreadsheet design, proficiency in SEDC Work Management preferred.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS: Ability to type, file, answer the phone, and work with others is required. Must be able to design spreadsheets, create word documents and stay current with personal computer technology and software. Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work are required to meet multiple deadlines. Must be self motivated, able to manage resources, direct and coordinate scheduling of assigned internal and external resources.
Arranges travel plans for Engineering & Operations employees and completes travel expense forms. Administers 790 contracts, ROW easements, DOT contracts, pole attachment agreements, 4-year work plan support as well as budgets for Engineering & Operations as needed. Maintains current Certificates of Insurance for all contractors working on the system. Prepares correspondence as directed and provides general administrative support to department. Receives and codes invoices for accuracy and payment.
Communication involves securing or furnishing factual information, resolving or adjusting complaints and misunderstandings, gaining acceptance and understanding of TEMC Work Management data base. Listening to others to ensure complete understanding is a high priority.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have the physical ability to perform essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of job which include, but are not limited to, seeing, hearing, walking, sitting, and bending. Occasionally lifts/carries 15 lb loads (less than 33% of the time). Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and government regulations; to write reports and business correspondence; to present information and respond to questions from customers
Working Conditions: Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects in a constantly changing work environment. Must be able to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold during weather emergencies, which may include around-the-clock operations. Normally works weekdays 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, but is required to work overtime as needed.
HIRING RANGE: $23.02-26.52 per hour
