College Scholarships

Tideland Electric Care Trust College Scholarship Program

Established in the spring of 2000, the Trust awards eight $1,000 college scholarships annually. Two of the eight scholarships are reserved for students planning to attend a community college. Community college scholarships will be paid as follows: $500 for the first academic year and $500 for the second academic year with proof of continued enrollment.

Scholarship Criteria:
Scholastic Achievement 50%
Financial Need 25%
Extra-Curricular Activities (School, Civic, Community, Work) 25%
Applicants must be the legal dependent of a Tideland EMC member and must be graduating from a high school in one of the 6 counties served by Tideland EMC. Applicants may not be the dependent of a Tideland EMC employee or director. Winner must have been accepted by an accredited community college, four year college, or university.
