Would you change one light bulb if it
meant saving up to $30 per year? That’s one selling point behind the ENERGY STAR
Change-a-Light campaign. ENERGY STAR’s goal is to get every U.S. home to change at
least one bulb, preferably in a high use area, to an energy efficient fluorescent bulb. We
also hope you’ll visit ENERGYSTAR.GOV and register your participation by taking the
"Change-a-Light" pledge. If every homeowner changed just one bulb to an ENERGY
STAR-rated bulb, the U.S. would save enough energy to light 7 million homes and prevent
greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to that of 8 million cars.
